Read WordPress.com sites, posts, pages, and media from a project or published app
Connect WordPress.com when a project needs to search or display content from sites available to an authorized WordPress.com account. A shared connection uses one account for a project. A published app can let each signed-in app user connect their own account.
This release is read-only. It does not create, edit, publish, or delete WordPress content.
Before you connect
A Swarmz administrator must configure and enable the WordPress.com OAuth application before the connector appears. Follow the WordPress.com OAuth setup to register an application, then add the callback URL shown on the Swarmz admin integration card. Each user then signs in to WordPress.com and approves access through the configured application.

Connect WordPress.com
For a shared content source, ask: “Connect our WordPress.com site and build a searchable article directory from its published posts.” For an app-user connection, ask: “Let each signed-in user connect WordPress.com and browse pages from their own sites.”
Select Connect new, approve the requested read access in WordPress.com, then link the connection to the project. See Connect accounts for published app users when every app user must bring their own account.
Verify WordPress.com
- List sites and confirm the expected domain.
- Read the site metadata using its domain or numeric site ID.
- Search posts for a distinctive title and open the returned post.
- List pages and media, then confirm a known item in WordPress.com.
- Revoke the application in WordPress.com and confirm the next read asks for reconnection.
If a site is missing, confirm the authorized WordPress.com user can access it. A self-hosted WordPress site is not automatically a WordPress.com site; it must be available through the connected WordPress.com account for this connector to read it.
