Perplexity
Run cited web answers and ranked web searches
Perplexity provides current web research for a project. A project owner supplies the API key through the secure connector form. Administrators can show or hide the connector; they do not configure a shared OAuth application.

ask supports sonar, sonar-pro, and sonar-deep-research. Domain filters can narrow either operation. Provider model availability and usage charges depend on the connected Perplexity account.
Connect and verify Perplexity
Ask the AI for a research feature and tell it where citations must appear. Enter the Perplexity API key when the secure form opens.
- Ask a time-sensitive question with an answer you can independently check.
- Open at least two returned citations and confirm they support the answer.
- Run a direct search for the same subject and compare the ranked sources.
- Add a domain filter and confirm results stay within the requested domains.
Treat generated answers as research input, not a primary source. Keep citations visible in the published app and state when a result was retrieved.
